Islington People's Rights provides expert, specialist advice and representation to marginalised individuals in and around Islington. IPR has a fierce commitment to a rights based approach and seeks to alleviate poverty and the effects of debt in and around Islington.

One of the longest established legal advice centres in London now in it’s 39th year IPR has been a central focus for the individuals and many other community groups who advocate for the disenfranchised.

IPR is proud of its record in providing outreach sessions to our clients at venues where they are already users of services. Our experience tells us that this model of providing advice is valued by our partners and clients alike.

However because we cannot hope to meet the demand for our services solely by our outreach services we have always provided a number of appointments (our core service) from one of the buildings in the Manor Gardens Centre.

Independent advice

The service we provide is free and independent of any other body or organisation. We aim to provide a friendly and informal service that produces results. We are here to act for you and your interest.

Confidentiality

What you tell us and the advice we give you is strictly confidential. It will not be passed on to outside bodies like the Council or the Benefit Agencies without your agreement.

Equal treatment

We aim to provide a good quality service for all our users, one that treats everybody with sensitivity and respect. We expect our users to act in the same way both to each other and our staff.
